Blue River
This pristine stretch of rocky bottomed river, which is operated as a trout fishery during the colder months, offers excellent hiking and kayaking opportunities (though certain state permits are required outside of the Nature Festival events). It also provides some of the best habitat for the seaside alder, a rare species of tree.
